Corey's No Hype No Fear Weather - North Texas

My goal and ours as a community is to reduce the fear that comes from severe weather before, during, and after the storm. To reduce anxiety and bring knowledge and precision data and forecasting to know exactly where threats are actively occurring. This first of its kind approach that will take your location along with thousands of your neighbors to build a real time reporting community combined with emergency text alerts, community notifications and live broadcasts showing exactly where you are and what severe threats are doing in your neighborhood. For 45 years I have been fascinated with weather. From seeing tornados as a child to studying computer engineering and climatology in college to working on the first Project Vortex with NOAA/NWS/SPC researching tornado generation. What started as a fear of tornadoes as a child shifted into a knowledge and understanding that taught me the dynamics that come together that drives our climate. Combining my skills of engineering, computers, and data, along with a deep sense of operational awareness with safety/security has allowed me to grow a skillset that is uniquely aligned to study and predict weather. I have been in, tracked, reported, and researched over 12 hurricanes, been in countless floods, ice, snow, and hail events along with over 45 live tornado intercepts (some strategically and others not by choice). Education, applied with strategic data, mixed with years of expertise allows me to help you the way I do. What started out with a simple text message helping my concerned neighbors navigating confusing tornado sirens and when to emerge from their safe spaces has grown into thousands of people that I help navigate severe storms today. No social media or advertising, just people trusting me, sharing me, has surged into over 30,000 people today with no advertising or social media. This idea of having a synergetic community, bringing everyone together to help report and communicate what is happening in each neighborhood combined with my weather knowledge that helps everyone be safe. I have chosen not to focus on social media channels for the reason that most are over bloated and hyped to the point just to get "clicks and views" to hyper report situations with fear tactics that monetize and rewards exaggerated news. The whole concept of naming this No Hype No Fear Weather is to combat that type of fear and tactics that is so prevalent in our society today. From me it will be simple, honest and to the point with no hype or fear combined with information and education that will empower you while protecting you and your loved ones.
